Am I Disabled?

Many people ask that question. Some people feel since they were injured or have health problems they are disabled. However, only Social Security is the one that determines if you are disabled. So, what is a disability you might ask? Social Securities definition of a disability is that you can not do any substantial gainful activity, that your condition has lasted at least one year or could be expected to last one year, and that it is caused by a physical or mental impairment. You might say "I fit that definition", I must me disabled. Not so fast! There is more to it. What else do they consider? I will discuss that in the next post.
